All training is done by me, Elizabeth saben. I have a lot of experience with starting horses, problem and agressive horses. I think that the most important time in a horses life is  when they are started.Who you have work them helps decide if they  get set on the right track for a great career or they  get all the problems that can potentially wreck there career. Horses, especially young ones absorb stuff like sponges, they learn from repetition and consistancy or inconsistancy where all your little bad habits and fears like cinchie, bit sore, crow hoppie, biting, pushy, kickie etc.. come from. Ground work is the key to successfull under saddle work. When  I do under saddle work I focus on getting the horse soft and supple, responsive and collected with a natural head set after they have learned the basics in leg cues, gas , break, steering , accepting a rider moving all over them and to maintain gate. I believe that horses with "holes" are horses that were not given a proper foundation before being  ridden. Giving horses a good foundation, a set of building blocks so to speak helps build their confidence and gives them the tools they need to succeed as saddle horses.90% of the horses I have been asked to"finish" were'nt started correctly to begin with and I usually have to do a lot of ground work and basic under saddle work to catch them up  to be safe horses.
If a horse is started correctly they are soft, relaxed, responsive and calm. I do not feel that horses should have to be ridden with tie downs or other equipment to force the horse to behave or collect the way we would like them to so often people use these devices to force something training should have accomplished rather than as a tool they are made for as in roping for stability ect... Colt starting is something I enjoy and start my own foals as soon as they hit the ground. I find that if you work with Foals, Weanlings and yearlings they have half the training done when it is time to break them. They are easy to manage and calm, not wild spook easy hellions. I start all horses the same regardless of age and disipline,I get control and respect on the ground  while teaching them to flex, lead, halter, pick up feet and be touched all over, trailer, fly spray, back up, give to pressure, tie, bathe, clip , saddle, bridle, ride etc... Most importantly I teach them to move their feet and  to disingage their hind quarters. Teaching a horse to not be pushy and to move away from pressure is something I find alot of people have problems with. Horses that run over the top of you have no respect for you and are dangerous. These horses have "holes" in their training and are not fun to be around.  In short I can put a good foundation on your young one, start under saddle and fix all kinds of problems. Trailer loading, bucky, cinchie etc..If you are interested in our training services contact us. If you are looking for a horse or have found a possible match we can help. We will be glad to search for horses fitting your criteria and connect you with their owners , or go out with you to evaluate the animal.
If you have a horse in mind and would  like to have it evaluated before purchasing , we make farm calls to do that. When I go out to do an evaluation we do some ground work to see what the horse knows, it's temperment and behavior before we ride it.
We do accept some trades on all services, including breeding. Here is a short list of the things we consider:
